SOCIAL & ECOLOGICAL JUSTICE OPPORTUNITIES

Congratulations to all the courageous and righteous young leaders who testified before the NM Environmental Board last Friday!

A special congratulations and thanks to our Lil B's daughter Alessandra Madrid who, at 6, was the youngest petitioner to address the Board.

Though we were disappointed in the EIB's decision not to hold a hearing, their decision was anticipated.

We look forward to the next step in the legal battle for our children's rights to a stable climate.

TODAY, CITY COUNCIL

200 LINCOLN AVENUE
CITY COUNCIL CONSIDERS RECOMMENDATION
TO EXTEND CONTRACT WITH
WELLS FARGO

The City's Finance Committee voted unanimously to extend the City's contract with Wells Fargo, the mega banking institution that was targeted earlier this year for divestment due to their financing of the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The contract would extend Wells Fargo's management of the City's $200 million for another 4 years. Earth Care, Retake Our Democracy and others asked the City to consider divestment but the Finance Committee is recommending continued investment.
